Assessment 2

1. The proofs that frank shows while giving his speech to defend charlie starting with the pathos. Frank starts his speech by saying that 'it is such a crock of shit'. Frank goes on to tell everyone that Charlie is not a snitch. This is the first hit of pathos or how we feel about franks speech because we all have that inner disgust with a rat or snitch. Frank goes on to tell the court that they have the wrong boy and charlie isn't going to snitch on the kids who really did the deed. Frank says that charlie is here facing the fire while George is hiding in big daddies pocket. Again this hits the way we feel about the speech because we now know that Charlie is refusing to be a snitch so we like him. And now we find out that George who is really to blame is hiding behind his fathers money. Many people will feel another feeling of disgust here with George and empathize with Charlie because of this.

2. The biggest that I noticed that Frank brought up was the Testimony. Frank says that he has had a chance to choose right or wrong. He says that there is nothing like the site of an amputated spirit. He has seen young men with arms ripped off in war. But seeing a young man with no spirit is worse. Also Frank tells us that he has had the chance to choose the right or wrong. He chose wrong but he saw Charlie choose the right path. He testifies to charlie's good nature and how he has seen him choose the right. This also leads into Frank's Anecdotal he gives a short narrative example to show what he is talking about. We see this when he explains how he has seen war but the detached spirit i worse. Also he tells a short story about how Frank chose the wrong path while Charlie chose the right.

3. The possibility of success is shown when Frank brings up that the people of the school are thinking that they are dismissing this young boy charlie. But Frank says that they are executing his soul. This act at the school of charlie being blamed for someone else's wrongs is going to ruin his possibility for success for the rest of his life. All because Charlie refuses to be a snitch.

4. Charlie could be seen as the Triumphant individual because since he is such a good guy no matter what happens at the school Frank has faith he will pick himself up and be successful. Frank knows that unlike George and the other boys Charlie will find his way through life. The obvious one is the Rot at The Top because of the people running the school. Frank speaks to this when he says I don't care who used to go to this school there soul is dead. The people that are running the school now are corrupt and mistreating the student at the school who don't have money.

5. Frank shows logic when he explains that Charlie is being prosecuted because he isn't a snitch and because he doesn't have money. Frank shows specific evidence without giving the other persons name away of just why and how Charlie is being wrongly blamed for a crime.

6. a) The way frank as a slight slur to his words with his accent is a great way to change the way he expresses his meaning of the words he is saying. The part where the guy asks if Frank is done talking and Frank responds with 'I'm just getting started'. The way he says this is aggressive and to the point.
   b) The part where Frank stands up and gets more aggressive by saying that you are out of order. Frank jumps up and raises his voices announcing the the court guy is out of order.
   c) Then Frank goes on to say that he would basically kick the guys ass if he wasn't so old. Also Frank gets really aggressive when he says that he is 'to fucking blind'. This is when Frank really starts to get aggressive and yell at the court.
The way frank says all of these things with his draw and accent really makes in more believable and makes you agree with him.
